Synopsis:
Tawney is a Gypsy and is proud of it. She lives life by the seat of her pants and doesn't care what others think of her. She does her best to get money for her mother for the things that they need and they can't make themselves. One day while she's earning her money through dancing in a bar called Thief's Den, she's arrested for crime that she didn't commit. Furious at that fact, she will do anything that she can in order to escape her captors.
Jameson is the head of the House of Mirrors. He's engaged to a young, low ranking member of the House of Swords. He can't stand her and tries to stay away from her. One day his servant, Mrs. Adams tells him that she needs a helper because she's getting old. They go down to the holding cells in the town and find Tawney. Mrs. Adams likes the gypsy girl immediately and they take Tawney home.
Not happy in her new house, Tawney tries to escape repeatedly, but never quite makes it. One day when she finally manages to get off the grounds she sees a shadowy figure sneaking into the Mansion. With her curiosity perked, Tawney turns around to go back and find this shadow.
